Architecture, Engineering and Construction workshops for young minds

We design every workshop to include Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths through hands-on building and testing.

We design every workshop to include Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths through hands-on building and testing.

Playful, hands-on building introduces shapes, homes and teamwork. Children design simple plans, explore materials and stability, and work together to create a walk-in shelter—building confidence, vocabulary and curiosity through architecture, construction and full STEAM.

Pupils take on real roles—architect, engineer and builder—to complete exciting “missions” like bridges and big structures. They use strong shapes, simple measuring and fair testing to explore forces, design and teamwork in an energetic, story-led way.

A cross-curricular deep dive linking history, geography, maths, science, art and RE through ambitious large-scale builds. Pupils explore world architecture, design with geometry and symmetry, engineer for stability, and present their work in a walk-through exhibition.

A fast-paced engineering challenge where students apply geometry and Pythagoras to build tall, stable structures. They test, iterate and refine using bracing and modular thinking—combining performance, creativity and teamwork under time pressure.

Students tackle a flagship infrastructure challenge: designing and building a working viaduct inspired by global water systems. Using plan/elevation drawing, gradient, setting-out and structural principles, teams build in sections and face a live water-flow test.

A studio-style design sprint for post-16 learners. Teams prototype a modular, climate-resilient structural system using advanced geometry and structural thinking, then test performance and present professionally with sustainability considerations—mirroring real architecture and engineering workflows.
Architects Inspire delivers high-energy, hands-on workshops that teach architecture, construction, and full STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) through real building challenges. Our sessions are led by a Leeds-based, ARB-registered, RIBA Chartered Architect with a strong, practical construction background.
A key part of our story is training apprentices on live building projects—breaking complex tasks into clear steps, coaching confidence, and turning “I can’t” into “I can”. That experience led directly to the workshop idea: if hands-on training works for future trades and professionals, it works brilliantly for pupils too. We bring that same structured, supportive approach into schools—so every child can design, build, test and succeed.
All Architect Inspire workshops are delivered in line with school safeguarding policies. All sessions take place with school staff present at all times. The workshop leader holds an enhanced DBS check.
